About Us
Madrasa Dunya is a mix of expat and local educators that come come from all kinds of backgrounds, together with the local people we are crafting this hub for: World schooling families, the local people and home schooling residence from the Marrakech region.
Our mission is to be an educational, eco travel hub, and local projects community, that feels like home and everyone attending
feels as a part of us. A place where we learn from each other
through cultural and wisdom exchange. With universal values
and real life skills to prepare the youth for life (Hayat) in this World (Dunya). And let them blend knowledge and experience from all that this Dunya and this beautiful country have to offer. Let’s connect to the authentic history of Moroccan culture, through the nature, the stories and the people!

We are multicultural family of 7 + our 3 neighbour boys who became a part of us. 2 years ago, we decided to take the crazy step of leaving everything behind in our home town Rotterdam in Holland and make the big move to Morocco!
We left without a plan, just seeing where the rivers of life would take us.
This of course was a whole adventure with a lot of ups and downs, that finally brought us to this paradise we now call our home. Having the surprise of our little miracle, baby Jelisah and getting the amazing opportunity of now opening the first world school of Morocco. Life brings amazing things if you just take the ride!

Hi I'm Jenna, founder and organiser of Madrasa Dunya.
Together with my husband, Boubker who is my left hand in everything I do.
And the most Amazing loving and supporting team, we are managing our World School: Madrasa Dunya, I'm a home schooling mother of 4 amazing kids, that always had a passion for organizing, being creative, decorating, and handcrafts. I worked for more than 10 years as a manager in hotels and restaurants and I did a lot of event and party planning. While parenting my children I discovered a new passion in alternative education. On my journey of getting free from the regular schooling system,
I experienced working at:

Home schoolers community Marrakech.
Because of Corona unfortunately my dream job at the Democratic school ended.
But this made way for us being able to take the big step of moving to Morocco.
All the ups and downs we came across during our educational journey experiencing all kinds of different functions in alternative education, brought me now to this little paradise with a backpack full of experiences of what works and what doesn't.

PERFECTLY LOCATED
Our hub is perfectly located within a little Amazigh village called: Belhouane.
(Meaning the taste of fruits in Amazigh.)
The nearby city of Marrakech offers a culture rich, vibrant and colourful experience.
Located near this central city of Morocco, Agafay desert, the roads to the famous Setti-Fatma and Oukaimden and loads of things do to in the area.
Our location truly is the perfect starting point for any Moroccan adventure.

our hub offers a multitude of options for the nature and culture enthusiast.

ALL IN ONE
Our apartments, hotel rooms, garden,
inside and outside hub/community area's,
are all located in the same gated complex and the surrounding fields.
Both mountain or river hike are right at our doorstep, as we have both level exits.
We have three restaurants, 2 playgrounds, a petting zoo, a little grocery shop, the local souk and public transport to the village/Marrakech all within a walking distance, making our hub a safe place where all needs are met.
